The shipping origin is in Zone 1, zip 10598. Depending on the zip code of the receiving address, you determine the zone number and the postage charge. Then add the handling charge of $1.0 for any weight below 5 pounds. For example, if the receiving address is in Florida with zip code of 330**, then it is in zone 6, the postage is $5.05 for shipping 2 pounds. So the total charge of shipping and handling is $6.05. For San Francisco or Alaska, the zone is 8 hence the total charge is $6.75 for shipping 2 pounds.
