James S. Becker III
C.O.O. Computer Adept L.L.C.

James Becker is the Chief Operating Officer of a New York based, multi discipline technology firm, Computer Adept, L.L.C. He has been working as a consultant in the technology sector for the past 10 years. A few of his most notable clients are Sony Music, Priceline.com, Barnes & Noble, SmithKline Beecham, Merck-Medco and AT&T.

James graduated from Fordham University in 1991 with a degree in Philosophy, Theology and Peace and Justice Studies. During and after earning his undergraduate degree, he worked with a large number of social and environmental activist organizations to further the cause of positive social change. A few of the organizations include, P.O.T.S., Greenpeace, NYPIRG, The Global Walk, Sierra Club, The James Bay and Northern Wilderness Task Force and For Mother Earth. James remains a highly motivated, politically active citizen to this day.

Ever since the tragic events of 9/11, James has been working pro-bono with FDNY Squad 252, the Widows, Victims and Families Association of 9/11, as well as the Coalition of 9/11 families, to build websites to promote the interests and web publishing needs of these organizations. He currently is in dialogue with these communities and an array of highly skilled technology partners to engineer a comprehensive internet infrastructure designed to support internal communications among these interrelated groups, as well as publishing critical information to the public about these groups needs and activities, with an end goal of devising a successful "donation based" e-commerce infrastructure for the Families and the FDNY, in order to generate enough revenue from the internet to economically maintain such an infrastructure indefinitely into the future.
